Volvo retail centre opens its doors in South East London

Volvo Cars South East London has unveiled a brand new showroom on Sidcup Road, in Eltham, taking over the former Ford site.

Previously known as Parkside Orpington, the redeveloped site features Volvo’s signature lounge area, complete with luxurious Scandinavian furniture. Customers can enjoy Swedish cakes while their car is looked after, or can work while they wait thanks to the free Wi-Fi.

The attention to detail includes an interior viewing window that allows customers to see all activity in the new workshops.

Ahead of Volvo’s commitment to become a fully electric car maker by 2030, the retailer’s new home also features ten electric charging points for its growing range of electric vehicles.

The showroom displays the latest range of stunning Volvo cars, including the brand-new EX30 and the pure electric XC40 and plug-in hybrids, as well as a wide range of Volvo Selekt Approved Used models.

The retailer also offers a streamlined service to car owners which halves waiting times. The Volvo Personal Service sees the same technician liaising with the customer from the point of booking right through to explaining the services – which they themselves have carried out. Two technicians work together on each car, reducing the time it takes for the service to be fulfilled.

Peter Nott, sales director at Volvo Cars South East London, said: “This has been a significant investment for us and we’re incredibly proud to be supporting Volvo’s mission towards sustainability with our specially designed showroom. We’ve put a lot of work into creating the perfect space in which customers can feel relaxed, while incorporating the latest eco-friendly technology.
