The UK’s special homeland security service, MI5, is on the hunt for newly qualified vehicle technicians to join its workshop in London and maintain its fleet of vehicles.
Its vacancies are aimed at, but not limited to, vehicle technicians who are now completing, or who recently completed, their third year of college for a Level 3 Motor Vehicle Technology qualification and are ready to start in a full-time role at its professionally equipped West London workshop.
Like others in garages and dealerships, the security service is not immune from the pressures on an sector suffering a shortage of trained vehicle technians, it seems.
MI5 carries out investigations by obtaining, analysing and assessing intelligence to keep the UK safe from serious threats like terrorism and attacks from hostile nations, and its protective security arm works with the UK Government, businesses and other organisations to advise them about how to keep themselves safe.
The successful candidates, who must have British citizenship and be IT literate, will provide professional diagnostic and repair services across a range of vehicles, such as those used by agent handlers and ensuring they’re maintained to the highest standards to meet MI5’s organisation’s requirements.
