The Connaught, London’s Quintessential Luxury Hotel, Welcomes Guests With Extra Holiday Cheer

The Connaught is a beloved five-star oasis of indulgence conveniently located in Mayfair. Guests return year after year for exceptional service, stunning rooms and consistently fabulous meals. The property becomes even more special as the holidays approach and guests are welcomed with special Christmas trees and festive holiday menus. This year’s tree was designed by influential British artist and sculptor Dame Rachel Whiteread. It sits outside the hotel and is decorated with over 100 circular neon white hoops, encouraging everyone to celebrate a feeling of togetherness.

However, the best part of the property is inside. Each of the rooms is exquisitely decorated and extremely comfortable. But the suites offer something special; each is uniquely decorated and comes with a personal butler. For instance, if you chose the “Library Suite,” you will be surrounded by books and original artwork and also find a fireplace, a skylight and a secret door leading to the main bedroom. The Mews is essentially a mini townhouse with three floors, a grand piano and your own chauffeur to pick you up and drive you to the airport.

The Connaught offers multiple dining experiences, all offering perfect service, lovely atmosphere and, of course, really great food. The Connaught Grill features an open kitchen and local produce. Favorite starters include beetroot carpaccio and grilled Scottish scallops, and the Dove sole and Black angus fillet are terrific entrée choices. A Sunday menu includes the Sunday Roast with traditional garnishes.

For a truly exceptional meal, visit Hélène Darroze, the hotel’s three Michelin-star restaurant, where each dish is grounded in seasonal produce. The Autumn menu includes bluefin tuna from the Balearic Sea, Japanese Wagyu and a signature baba. The Christmas Day lunch will indulge guests with courses featuring caviar, scallops, turbot, capon, cheese and chocolate!

Another must visit establishment is the Red Room, a stylish bar where all the artwork is red and is made by female artists. The cocktail menu is creative, and snacks range from oysters to pizza to sushi.

Another reason to stay at this storied hotel is the wellness offerings. The Connaught is home to the Aman Spa, the only Aman Spa located outside of an Aman property. Here you can choose a Grounding Signature Journey that includes a body polish and wrap, a massage and a face ritual. Or you can try the CBD massage, or one aimed at healing tired muscles. The hotel also houses a swimming pool and a very well-equipped gym.

And if you want to take a piece of your memorable stay home with you, you can visit The Connaught Shop where you can purchase scented candles, martini glasses, Aman potions and a bottle of Connaught whisky.
