Chinese brand GWM’s new Haval Jolian Pro SUV will be priced from £23,995, when it launches in February.
The large SUV model will feature a 1.5-litre petrol engine with an electric motor, delivering a combined output of 189PSin, competing direcly with rivals like the MG ZS and Nissan Qashqai.
Early market data suggests a driving range of up to 620 miles and an estimated fuel economy of 55mpg. However, official UK emissions and fuel economy figures will be confirmed closer to launch.
Measuring 4,470mm in length, 1,898mm in width, and 1,625mm in height, the Haval Jolian Pro will be offered in three trim levels: Premium, Lux, and Ultra.
The Premium entry-level version will be priced from £23,995, which includes a suite of standard ADAS features such as Auto Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Blind Spot Detection, and Driver Drowsiness Protection.
The higher-end Ultra will cost £29,995, which includes a 12.3-inch central touchscreen, heated and cooled front seats, a 360-degree camera, and a head-up display.
Safety features are comprehensive across all trims with Automatic Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Brake Override System, and Secondary Collision Mitigation included as standard.
GWM announced earlier this month that its UK operations are to be streamlined under one name – GWM – to reflect a brand strategy to introduce a broader range of models.
The manufacturer had initially planned to focus solely on Ora models in the UK where its dealerships operated under the GWM Ora banner, focusing on the family car range.
The shift to a unified “one GWM” platform aligns the UK operation with regions like Australia and New Zealand and will allow GWM UK to launch a wider product portfolio with right-hand drive compatibility.
Potential future introductions from GWM’s global lineup could feature models such as the Wey (premium SUVs), Tank (rugged off-roaders), and Poer (hybrid pickups).
Further details on the Haval Jolian Pro’s pricing, specifications, and availability will be announced closer to its February launch.
